If ur getting a b16 engine for cheap then go for that, but me personally would just skip all the little B.s. pop an H22 in there and call it a day. Theyre not that much more $$. Thats just me though. I think its time to be different. Everyone has a B16a powered civic these days, Im more for even a B18C - Type R or something - everyone has a B16 these days though. My Favortie would def be the H22. You could also do LS Vtec or LS Turbo ... but w/e<edited><editID>6thgencupe</editID><editDate>38113.5758101852</editDate></edited>

i know evrybody has a B16 motor but if you can get for a good price then go for it but make sure you do look the stuff up before you waste your money in any mods to this mtotor, but have fun and good luck

Don't add any engine modifications to the DX engine especially with that much mileage. It's not worth it. It will still be slow. DX body is light, very light which is great. Save your money & get the B18C engine for your car. You don't need the JDM B18C, the USDM B18C5 will be good enough.
My suggestion, if you really want to upgrade something on your car right now, go for the suspension upgrade first. Coil over & camber kit are great to do for now. Good set of tires are also another thing you can do to improve performance.

I agree with H22 but it's kind of risky cause they tend to break axles cause they have so much power and the stock axles on the civic can't handle it. I know 2 guys who this happened to.
About the swap I would swap any B-series in there like asap if you have the money. Idealy a LS-Vtec. But if your budget is not too big stick with the B16 and go for that cheap deal. Good luck mang! [8D]

well the two guys i know they had the H22 really modded. I know the a stock one can't break an axle.
