I stated earlier my goal of roughly 250+.
I have a 2000 civic EX coupe. kinda different. I'll be making my own thread soon, however just wanted to see what I could gain from this thread.

I would not recommend going for 250 WHP without stronger rods and arp rod bolts (and arp head studs too since you'll be boosting).
It has been done reliably (I don't know about on a Y8, but on a Z6, which is similar) on the stock D-series, but it requires a damn good tune and a really good condition engine. Basically, if you want to make that much on stock internals you better know what the hell you're doing, and do it extremely well.
You also may have problems with the Y8 oil pump, it sucks. You might have to shim it (I think that's what I have read that they do to fix the problem... idk for sure).

If somebody hasn't already beatin me to it, but this can help ya out a bit whether you want to turbo it or supercharge.
