I wanted to tell folks; my CEL came on, I checked the code it was P0134 - o2 sensor bank 1, sensor 1 not active.

My car is an 04 ex couple 1.7l V-tec about 80k miles

Well I read all the post related to this and found I needed to replace the sensor, so I look them up on-line they range from $240 to $325 bucks! shocker.

I went to the local parts store site and found the OE direct replacement part Denso P/N 234-9017 Air Fuel Ratio Sensor (before the CAT o2 sensor).
I took that number and did a search and found the sensor on Amazon for $141.77 w/free shipping, I opted for regular shipping and the part took 7 days to arrive (should of used 2 day prime), any way the part came in a parts box from Denso aftermarket parts .com, sealed in a bag with instructions and a tube of anti seize.

Jack, jack stand and a 22mm wrench and 10 minutes old one out new one in fixed. The sensor was tight breaking loose, but once broke, it screwed out by hand.
