blower motor resistor - how to replace?
I have a 2000 Civic (plane jane, no power windows) and the blower motor resistor needs replacement. Fan works on high only.
I have the replacement part, but cannot figure out how to remove the old one.
I removed the screws, but the part is inside of the housing and I cannot just pull it out. If I disconnect the plug, the old unit will fall into the housing.
help.

OK, I figured it out and got the resistor change. The fan switch works fine now.
I'll post in case somebody else has this issue.
To replace the blower motor resistor, I had to remove the blower motor first. This was easier than I thought, 3 screws on the bottom and the unit just pulled out. With the blower motor out, I removed and replaced the resistor. Put the blower motor back in place and was done.
