First honda--95 civic w/b16 swap
Whats up ppl. I just bought a 95 civic with a b16 swap and b20 block ( supposedly all fully built)upper and lower rear sway?? bars?? It has 17" rims its lowered like a ****, it has an apexi vtec controller water/oil temp gauges, it has a different ECU ( dunno which) The thing runs pretty good and has some ***** but im not sure if everything i think is in the car is fully accurate. Anyway im sure ill figure it out with some help.

Rear upper strut and Rear lower tie bars is what i have im pretty sure now. Saw a old thread from '06 that showed pics and were labeled. That stuff is for handling right? Should i throw one in the engine bay as well? Seems like a popular choice with good feedback.

You most likely have tie bars, not sway bars. Sway bars are only on the bottom and attach to your lower control arms to push them down in high speed cornering, tie bars just connect the shock towers on top and subframes on the bottom to prevent flexing. They don't really do too much handling wise, you won't really notice but they look good. And a turn at 20? Weak sauce, man up and do some 30+. I'm lowered like 2.5" and riding on steelies and I can take this S curve by me at 35, tires squeelin, but still holding the turn like a beast.
As for a "fully built" b16 swap with a b20 block.... a crvtec (b20 with vtec head) is beasty fast stock. And if this thing is fully built... you'll know. They have a ton of torque because of the displacement, and are fast hybrid engines. Do you know if the guy had the car tuned? I suggest you call him and ask him what was all built in it (cams, hc pistons, etc.). You should really get any hybrid engine tuned, and if it is built it is in desperate need of a tune if it isn't. Also, what tranny is on there? Did the guy say? It'll be a b series, hopefully he threw a short geared gsr or b16 on there.
Get some pics, I'm interested to see what this all looks like. And what did you end up paying?

Well im not sure but the thing is fast for sure. But im used to modded v8's so to me it doesnt feel like a crazy amount of torque. But he said it was tuned and it feels like its running well. I am pretty sure it has the stock tranny b.c it feels like it needs to shift around 7k--ish. It has a short throw shifter and a stage 2 ACT clutch. Its lowered and handles very well but it scrapes like a **** when taking reasonable turns. (Thats why i said 20 mph w.o killing my tires would be great.) I paid 3200 for it which is why i find it hard 2 believe it is what i think it is. BUT the guy was VERY obviously hurting for money and talked himself down to that price when it started at 4500 and a few weeks earlier had been 6200 on craigslist. I have some pics up in my profile but its off a cellphone. I will get some quality shots soon.
