Hey everyone, said I better throw up a newbie thread and introduce myself.

I'm Cian from Dublin, Ireland. I just bought a 1990 Honda Civic EF2 on Saturday. It needs a bit of work done to get back to it's best, but isn't exactly too bad either.

Unfortunately I wouldn't have much mechanical knowledge, but between here, other forums and online articles as well as practice, I hope that soon changes. I'd say there's a lot of information on here, but in advance i'd like to thank anyone who helps me out with any information.

And here's a few pictures of the car:

Thanks man.

Quick general question. Does anyone know if the full lockset with part number 35010-SH3-A10 would fit my car which is an 1990 Japanese Import EF2? I went into Honda parts today and they quoted me almost €550 for a lock set with part number 35010-SH3-970 but I want to know if 35010-SH3-A10 would fit because they can be gotten a lot cheaper online than the other ones.

Welcome! Looks like a really, really nice car. I especially love the lowered stance with the mesh wheels. Are they old BBS ones?

Your question about the lock set is pretty specific, so I'm not sure that you'll get an answer here or anywhere else. However, since it's coming from a RHD Japanese car, I would imagine you'd be okay putting it into a European RHD car. The only difference I could think of between a LHD and a RHD car would be in the ignition switch itself, as to what side of the steering column it would go on. All the doors and hatch should swap in with no problems.

Thanks Christian. The wheels are Lenso BSX's - BBS Replicas.

Yeah I hope they would fit because the price change is phenominal!! The car itself is a RHD Japanese Import into Ireland. I just really hope that part number 35010-SH3-A10 would fit as it's much cheaper. I'm going to see can I get the parts from a scrapyard also, but I would rather get new ones for security purposes.
