New Member Intro

Default New Member Intro

Hey everyone im new to the import tuning world i have a 1996 2dr Civic EX....just purchased it from Miami Florida....i stay in the Detroit MI area...the car has some nice 17" wheels a Tein Suspenion Fresh Paint....Silver....But the interior needs heavy work....plus the guy told me it has the 1.6 SOHC VTEC but im not an expert so im not sure....im looking to just add a little go to the car but im going to town on the interior so any helpful sites or ideas would be much appreciated thanks!

Did he give you some winter wheels because we know how much it sucks up here in the midwest how the weather gets. Make sure you get some because you don't wanna ruin your rims. You got any pics of the car?

well no pics yet.....gota get a memory card reader for my laptop....im not going to drive it in the winter...lol....yes michigan is horrible in the winter ill be purchasing a little beater for the....ill post up some pics of it as soon as possible though....im looking into already rebuilding the engine im getting my hands on a engine to rebuild what brands of intake manifolds, headers, and other parts should i look for and the guy said it was a vtec.....how do i tell?....its just a red valve cover that says honda

Dude i'm telling you it has VTEC. It doesn't have to say VTEC on the valve cover to have VTEC. But if you must check, follow instructions in this link: https://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_270258/tm.htm

im not sure man....i thought the same....it needs some work....engine and interior....but itll turn out alryt...with some help of course....lol
