Default RE: why not

The B20 is not a very high reving motor, everything is interchangeable with it as the B18's and B16's.All B series engines are built on the same block beside the B20 it has a taller deck and this plus a different crank and slightly larger pistons account for the extra 200cc of displacement

IMHO the B20 is a waist of time and money unless in a light car such as a hatch or a Rex because you can get more out of the B18 mod for mod plus the aftermarket support for them is there just no where near as much as the B18/B16(I'm talking internals and such)

You can do a CR/Vtec conversion with it by putting a B16 or B18C head/ECU on the B20 but once again IMHO not worth it cause the reliability factor is thrown so far out the window it aint funny

The cranks in the b20 and the b18a/b are the same I'm pretty sure. You could also put a b17 gsr crank in it with forged rods and customs pistons to bring down the r/s ratio for the higher revs. You could also take a b18a/b and have it bored and resleeved to a 2.0l and have pretty much the same engine. You may even want to deck the b18 to give it a higher deck height.
