intake question?
A buddy of mine not to long ago got a power package from DH racing. It was the intake manifold and lighten crank pulley. He also has a Venom control module. This is for D series engine. Anyway, his car hauls ass! I was amazed. Now my question is, this is california and even though it looks stock. And you really cant see the crank pulley. Is this car going to pass smog. Because this would be a problem for me. If that is I would go this route.
Really I would also like hear some feed back on porting and polishing, it really sounds too good to be true |
RE: intake question?
well i dontsee y you would have a problem with the smog test. shouldnt be too much that u dont pass the test.
as far as porting and polishing that really works great. well at least i have heard of great numbers on mustangs. but it should really help with anycar |
RE: intake question?
Port and polish will make a huge difference... but its more of a major step in my opinion as opposed to an everyday tuners upgrade. If you can afford it and trust the person doing it then its great!

RE: intake question?
The crank pulley should not affect smog. I've had other pulleys changed and never had a problem.....yet.....;)

RE: intake question?
most afermarket intake manifolds are not smog legal. check into it before you pick one out. the pulley shouldnt give you a problem though. also, what kind of car and motor do you have? any mods?

RE: intake question?
yeah you intake manifold and exhaust manifold (header) might give you some trouble. the pulleys will be fine though
