boost controller Q

I am curious if you have a d-series motor with stock internals and you put a turbo kit on it and run like 7lbs until the turbo is broken in and then you put a boost controller on it and run 10lbs will the engine be able to handle it like as a daily driver?????????[sm=happy046.gif]

doubtful. MAYBE on 93 octane, but youd be pushing your luck. and only if it was tuned on a dyno would it last very long, even on race gas.

RE: boost controller Q

i only run 92 octane but i dont want to take any changes so i think i will just stick with the 7lbs and keep it at that.....i am also gonna upgrade to an....

aftermarket fuel rail
aem fuel regulator
and maybe a new fuel pump depending on how hard it is to get to.....

o yeah and maybe some really small performance injectors but not for a while should this give me a pretty decent boost in power without any chances.....

i have t3/t4 to4e and was runiing 10psi, it ran really well for about 1 month and now it sits with two cracked pistons, so yea i would stick with the 7 psi

RE: boost controller Q

Greddy turbo at 10psi cracked three of my pistons, replaced them with 4 others I had. Less them a month later cracked another.

ARP's is the fix for that.
