Default [FIXED] Radio memory & Setting

Dear Honda Civicers, I salute you from Greece as a newbie Honda
Civicer.

I just bought the new Honda Civic 2005 Sedan 1400 and i have a
question for the ones that already had this problem and now not.

I deliverd the car with the JVC cd-radio system and it was fine.
Recently i installed a Funai mp3 player without any troubles at
the beggining.

For my surprise i found that the Funai mp3 player cannot hold
any memories and settings if i turned off the engine or take
the key out of the car.

I suspect that the Funai is not correctly connected to the battery
so it cannot save the settings even if i attached the wads without
any change.

Is anyone aware of this problem and knows how to correctly install
the cables so the Funai can connect to the battery?

Thanks.

Check your instructions for the radio. Usually, sometimes there's a wire that you connect to a constant 12 volt source.

There is a "memory wire" which should be red. And a constant "hot" wire which should be yellow. Your radio doesnt have its memory wired correctly. Every time you turn off your car, you are "hard shutting" your radio off. After a long while of hard shutting, it could lead to the death of your little Funai.
