I am looking to replace my factory headunit w/ a single din unit.

If I replace the factory headunit will I lose the use of my factory alarm?


I've seen that I have 2 options for the dash kit. Either I retain the cubbie w/ the closing door or remove that and replace with a pocket.

I want to hear the advantages between each. I want my dash to look closest to stock as possible. I'm leaning towards the factory pocket w/ door.

Any advice would be great.

 

When my brother switched his deck over on his 04 civic sedan he went with the open pocket. I personally would go with something open too. I have a USB hook up to my iPhone for music and charging, make it easier to get at it.

Not sure about alarm.
