Default RE: which alarm

Clifford , viper , python . are going to be your top units to purchase audiovox is a bit less installer friendly and has less options to add on with ease , Clifford and viper ( DEI ) were competitors for a long time and DEI bought them out , but its still a hard core system you can add GPS tracking to it as well

you can add GPS , so you can track real time online find out where its at and how fast its driving . you can evan call the GPS unit and have it start your car or unlock it from where ever in the world, (( good option if your at the airport and its freezing outside and you want a warm car by the time you get to it ))- (( only with viper , Clifford , python products anything DEI ))

DEI has a wide range of 2way LCD products EXAPMLPE ==if your inside the house and you park you car around the corner and cant see the car , someone breaks in and tries to steal your car , you cant hear it or see it but with a 2 way it will page you instantly telling you what's going on it will show a picture on the pad with a hammer ( meaning your cars shock sensor went off ) or it will show a picture of your car door open ( meaning your door is open )

if your not looking for anything fancy you can get a Viper 791XV

- its got security
-remote start
-keyless convenience
-and the best a two way system ( LCD ) ----pic below----

THEN THERES THE One Mile Range Remote Start Systems with Venom SST
, the SST is new DEI technology its got a 1 mile range ----pic below----

- its got security
-remote start
-keyless convenience
- 1 mile range

then there's the viper 350hv --this unit is a basic alarm ----pic below----

- its got security
-keyless convenience

there's allot more on http://www.directed.com/ ***just look on the left hand side when you get on there for many options***

you can do the install yourself its easy or if you want Best Buy carries these units and they add the price of the install into the cost of the sale , don't look online at best buy . com because they cant sell them online walk into the store , they will offer you battery backups and Piezo , on top of the sale you can get them if you want or not , there not required to get them to make the alarm work ,

-BATTRY BACKUP , if someone pops your hood and disconnects your car battery the BATTRY BACKUP will work for up to 4 hours after they cut it , so in fact your alarm is still working ----pic below----

-Piezo , is a small siren that goes on the inside of your car , its so loud that you cant sit in the car very long , so if someone tries to steal you Cd's the ll have to tolerate a Piezo going off in there ears--ouch ----pic below----

if your looking for a 2-way remote start and want it installed professionally then you can to best buy or circuit city , they usually run prices that include installation and a life time warranty that's nation wide so no headache or extra costs if it goes out , if you ever have problems with it they can take care of it as well.

something you want to keep in mind is that DEI ( the company who makes viper , Clifford , etc ) only gives you a lifetime warranty on the brain of the unit not the 2-way or anything else

PRICES

Viper 771Xv (p/n 567V) MSRP $459.99

Viper 3000 MSRP $359.99

Viper 571XV MSRP $359.99

SST models

Viper 160XVL (p/n 562VL) MSRP $299.99

Clifford

LED 2-Way Security System / Remote Start System
MSRP $459.99

Clifford Matrix 10.2X 2-Way Security System
MSRP $399.99

Clifford Matrix RSX 1.2 2-Way Remote Start System
MSRP $359.99

Matrix RS 2.1
Security System / Remote Start System
MSRP $239.99

all these are MSRP ( that's if you buy them from DEI ) so if you go into a best buy or circuit city they might charge you less for the unit but they add install and it brings the total cost up --but these prices will give you a basic of what to spend .

if you want get some prices and let me know and i can tell you if its expensive or where to shop to find a better price

yeah get the clifford man. I have it and its great. I have the 10.5 matrix. Its well worth the money, many times the sensor or alarm went off and i couldn't hear but the LCD pager alarm told me. And plus my alarm has a radius of 1400 ft. So i can be inside of my place and turn my car alarm on or off and **** like that from inside my house. And not only that but you can control up to 4 cars on the same alarm system with the LCD pager. so you can have four different vehicles controled by the same alarm. Clifford FTW
