dang, you traded in type-x's for xplods, man, thats a downgrade, but still a big jump over stock.

dito... forehead SLAP!!!!!!!!

well with my 99civic...... i had to cut out the door panel backing out to fit my RE re components...
and mine fit affter that...

BUT heres another idea that you didnt think of...

HOW MUCH IS THE SPEAKERS HELD OUT? 1/4inch-1/2inch, 3/4inch....
all ya need is some spacers to hold the speakers out alittle more just enough for clearance... just but alittle MDF the thickness that you need for the spacer and with a jigsaw or router cut out a circle to fit into the door panel opening for the speaker and then cut out a hole in it for the speaker...

just like this

or if you cannt draw or cut a circle you can realy be lazy and buy them.LMFAO

Yea, when i put my type r's in the doors, i had to cut out some of the door panel backing. I'm assuming you're talking about the same thing. But then again, the type x's are deeper than the type r's, so u might have more problems than i had anyways... And i dunno bout them xplods... Never really been a fan of them. Still, better than stock.

ya the type X's were really deep im not a big fan of the xplod's either but its better than nothing and i'd rather spend money on the engine instead of a sound system
