Amp question
You need an amp that isnt higher than 600 watts rms. if you only have one speaker, you might wanna buy a mono amp. and no you dont need another amp for the other speakers (unless they are aftermarket and you wanna power those too)
If your head unit has an option to high pass filter the main speakers, using that will take a lot of demand off of the head unit amp because it won't need to drive bass to the main speakers any more.
#1 never look at peak. its all RMS
#2 u can get a 2000 watt amp if u want.... u just need to make sure ur gains are set correcntly remember grains are not volume controls.
#3 its always good to buy an amp with some extra headroom - Meaning if u want that sub to work to its full potentional and u dont want to kill ur amp. buy a sub thats about 800 watts RMS.... If u dont plan on bumping and plan on keeping ur levels moderate... maybe go with a 600 watt amp... but if u wana really have some bump go 800 watts. U never want ur gains set more than half... maybe a little more.... but better safe than sorry.

Ive got my amp rms as close as possible to the rms my subs can handle and i have the gain set to the highest. Ive had it this way for around 6 years now and no problems. I even have the bass **** to turn it up even higher

It would power the sub nicely.
