Default Amp Question

So I want to get an amp but I have a couple questions.

Right now my hu is pretty high quality, brand new, and puts out 22w rms.

I have references up front that are 2 ohms that are built for 50w rms
in back I have bostons made for 35w rms

I purposely chose lower watt speakers so that I wouldn't have to get an amp. However, I do want to get a 4 channel amp now.

My question though is I can I get a 50w rms 4 channel amp and everything be fine. Up front because they run at 2 ohms they will most likely get more than 50w rms and in back they are only made for 35 rms. Will it be safe to run an amp at 50 rms to them?

Will it even be worth it for the back since they are already getting 22/35w rms? Should i just save my money?

My main purpose is to just clean up the sound a little at higher volumes. I would probably be buying a used amp, either jl infinity or alpine. It would be decent quality but not the best by any means. Im not looking for advice on the amp brand unless you know of one perfect for this speaker set up.

Are you sure you Infinitys aren't 60w RMS?

Don't buy infinity amps. you can get better for the money. JL is good quality but overpriced, and alpine is good, but still you can find better for the price lol.

how much are you willing to spend? I'd say leave the back speakers on the HU and just get a 2ch amp for the front speakers.

I've heard great things about Cadence amps

And kicker amps are pretty solid. If you get one of these , bridge it.

I'd also look into used amps. Sundown might be pricey, but those amps are amazing. Check out SSA forums, classifiedzz.com, caraudio.com

Also don't buy from Ikesound.com or onlincarstereo.com. I've been reading bad things about them lately

it says 50 watts. If im running an amp I would love to have the rears hooked up just to clean it up. Maybe like a 45w rms 4 channel because the fronts would be getting more cause they are 2 ohms right?

Cause buying an amp and wiring kit just to give 25ish watts more to my front speakers seem not worth the hassle of installation and the money.

Im looking to spend like 120 or under on the amp and get it off ebay or craigslist what is the most watts i can run to the rears...and the fronts?

hmm

Edit: Would the boston's blow with 50w rms heading to them when they are built for 35?

Weird....i have those but they are 60 rms....

I'm no sure boosting the power from 22w to 35w is going to make any audible difference for the 6x9s. But 22 to 50 probably would.

Not sure about the bostons blowing....I highly doubt, but definitely wont tell you no. I don't how well they are made....

I'll search some, and any amp you find just post in here so we can check it out

Sure. I don't think it will quite put out the power it says, but that's my own opinion....

this should be better, but it's used. Having headroom (i.e. more power than necessary) is a good thing.

just be careful with the gains and such...

edit: on second thought, that amp might be a little overkill....but gives you room to improve....i dunno, its your money

Since you have 2 ohm speakers, make sure that any amp you buy is rated for 2 ohm loads.

It is OK to have amp wattage somewhat larger than the speaker ratings, you just need to be careful not to turn it up too high. Trying to "match" the amplifier to the speaker rating still does not guarantee that the speakers can't blow out.
