First of all- a big thanks to you guys for helping out, much appreciated.

I've decided on getting two ten Alpine Type R's, but I havent been able to put my finger on an amp yet, any suggestions? Price range is around 200. The Type R's are consistently going for 180 on Ebay (for two) which is their crutchfield list price, so I could go a bit higher with the amp.


In addition, where do you guys usually go to get all of your wiring? I'm going to have to do the big 3 upgrade as well as all of the installation wiring.

i bought a meijer 4 awg wiring kit for like 25 bucks, but i recommend better rca cables for less distortion and better quality. make sure to use a fuse

 

Wiring? Hell, I normally go to lowes. It can be cheaper mos tof the time.

 

I would say look around on ebay and get a new. Don't buy any cheap amps because more than likely they'll blow. Stay away from sony amps also i fried 2 in a matter of a coule months. They arent so good. I bought a brand new Audiobahn 1200 watts mono block "class d" amp off ebay for 270 and it is great. Being a class d I am not really afraid that it will fry powering my one Poineer Premier(3000watt 1500 watt rms).

 

JBL amps are the shiiiznit. Also, Remmy's idea is good... go to Lowes or Home Depot or something and pick up some power wires. I wouldn't suggest cheaping on RCAs but any well insulated cable will work good.
