Anyone have ant exp. with these?
Hey, I'm looking to get some new subs. I'm looking at these from MTX: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=19134
Anyone happen to have these? Or know if there any good? I seen some reviews on em and them seem pretty decent just trying to see if anyone has any personal exp. with em.

i belive i made a box with these for my robotics team yah they bump but u have to run the perfect amout of power or they sound bad but since they come with everything they should get ur mirror shaking my civic has 1 10 right now and it shakes
Those subs are terrible
for only one reason, you will not get nearly as much power out of them as you want
those should not really be used anywhere except for a truck, they are very very weak speakers, and the cone is actually easily bendable...they're basically like large speakers, and you know how they're put together? They're sewed, that in itself should tell you a few things about them
I've had them before, they don't perform too bad, but they are so weak you might as well get good 6x9s for the same price and you would honestly, probably get the same bass out of it (no exaggeration)
MTX is an amazing brand, I will completely fall on that, but those specific subs are just for people who want a sub but won't dish out the cash for something good
there is very little "sub" about those

Ok, Well I ended of getting them, I just got done installing them, There pretty decent auctally IMO. Only issue I am really having with em is there is no crossover on the amp it's preset to 85 hertz I believe. Now I wanna set it a little lower it sounds kinda of sloppy on some songs but on others with jusy mainly highs and lows it sounds great. Anything I can get to fix up the sloppyness?
I've never understood the facination of people new to car audio of wanting two subwoofers. Many entry-level bundle packs use two low-end subwoofers in a sealed enclosure with a small amplifier. I would be much happier with a single higher-quality 8" or 10" subwoofer in a properly designed/built vented or bandpass (preferably series-tuned sixth-order) enclsoure.
You already made the purchase and are happy. I'm just pointing out that there are better options in that price range.
