audio overhaul for my ladies car

the problem is that the previous owner of the car put some piece of junk pioneer headunit in (and didnt even correctly connect all the speakers). Without removing the existing headunit, how can i tell if it has the wiring harness, or the dumbasses at bestbuy just ripped up the existing wiring to jam that $50 stereo in there?
if this car was parked in my garage, this would be easily solved, but now i gotta steal my girlfriends car keys and a screwdriver to check....

Oooo... it sounds like the existing wires are ripped. Wait best buy did the jerry rigging? Wait.... what year is this car? If its 96-98 I see why they did that, so keep keless entry working.

nope, its a 2000 civic LX. she has keyless entry, but the stock HU is gone...

ive got a 2000 DX. Same thing but no power windows. If you would like me too I can pull out mine and take pics of it so you can rewire your properly.

not really. look around this section. It has been described me like 10 and by others to the same amount.
