Hi to you all honda civic fans


i recently purchased a 95 honda civic ex coupe, and when i got the car the rear speakers were busted

i'm planning to get a nice after market speakers for front + back, nice amp and 12" subwoofers in the trunk

could u guys please give me tips on what power speakers amp and woofers to get?

i'm planning to buy pioneer front and back total of 4 speakers for 100$ from car domain.

 

pioneer, although not competition quality, is an improvement over stock, and sound nicely off of just head unit power. I wouldn't amp them. As for subs, you should get an entry level sub for a little bump in the trunk, but not overpowering the speakers. I'de say a rockfore P2 should do the trick and as for an amp, this should do the trick for that subwoofer.

im not a big fan of rockford or kicker for that matter, but for the price they are +++ and great for a begining system or just sombody looking for some improvment over stock

If your on a budget, and can't afford components. I highly reccomend Pioneer Revs (the yellow ones). I also reccomend not buying rear speakers since your on a budget and already are getting subs.

As far amps and subs, well it's all dependent on your budget, I can't reccomend much without that.

But I do have a decent speaker amp for sale for $50 that is 100x2@4ohms.

whats wrong with the rears?

i actually just bought infinity references for front and back for total of 100$, 5 1/4 and 6 1/2, i'll recive them in about 5 days

any1 know how to install them? :S

 

well if its the same as a 98 , which i doubt, then u gotta take out the back seat, side panels, back tailight panel covering the speakers, pop old ones out and put new ones, and then back together

 

another tip, after you get the old ones out bottom mount the new ones so if you ever change them its waaaay easier.
