with a bandpass box, the bass hits deeper........but if you dont have a hatch, all the bass stays in the trunk. I prefer to stick with my sealed box.

bandpass only plays the fz that there tuned for. there typically muddy and unresponsive. another down side of them is you cant hear if your overdriving your subs. i think sealed sounds the best for all around music. if you listen to alot of rap i would roll with a ported box.

ok thanks.. i do listen to al ot of rap.. i had a bandpass befor with 1 mtx in it and it pounded pretty hard and i read up a bit on bandpasses and they from what i read they were best for rap.. but i can see what you mean about the bass staying in the trunk.. i'll just stich to my seeled then.. it is pretty crisp loud bass.. i love the look of bandpass tho haha

All depends on your desinging skills. If you build it at .7 you will have poor response but if you build at .5 should be a good spectrum if you mainly lsiten to rap. Not fun to design, stick to ported.

imo a sealed box is gonna give you better sound quality, and allow you to feed it more power cause a tightly sealed box helps keep the cone of the speaker from overextending iteself
