Default BB or CC install

Hi, I'm planning on buying a stereo from Circuit City or Best Buy and getting the free installation that comes with it, but I noticed that it says the free installation does not include prices of harness and stuff needed. Would all I need be a radio wiring harness when I go purchase it?

BTW this is for a 2000 Honda Civic LX 4 door sedan.

I'll have to agree with pcupo12 on this one!!!! If you do get it installed at CC or BB they'll charge you for the mount kit, wiring harness, extra wire, connectors, coffee breaks etc...I'd put it in myself if I were you IMHO the hardest thing you'd have to do is take the dash apart! The wiring harness and dash kit are plug-n-play.

Ahhh, I guess I'll go that route, maybe Crutchfield, so I can get the installation guide stuff. I haven't really done anything with my car, so I'm sorta scared of messing it up.

it should be easy, as long as you don't find anything scary inside your dashboard. Is the stock stereo still in there now?

Naa you won't mess anything up... Take your time, don't force anything. The dash mount kit and the wiring harness should come with color coded instructions...if you get stuck just ask questions!

I work at CC and we do great installs. Don't get me wrong, mom and pop shops are great and its even better if you do it yourself, but if you screw it up or a random shop screws it up, its more difficult to get it fixed. CC charges; price of stereo, $18 for car side harness,$6for radio side,$18for dash kit, and you get the free install. If we screw it up, we will fix it no problem. Also, CC will take your radio out of your car if you get a new one, for free. Go with CC

I used to wolr at a mom and pop. When BB or CC screws up, WE would end up fixing it. Others on here have comlained that it is a royal pain in the *** to get something straight if something goes wrong.

Well, I picked up the Pioneer 4800mp from Crutchfield, thanks for all the suggestions.
