Can someone clear this up for me!?!?
Okay, so I went to a reputable electronics dealer to get part of this 50% off deal they had going for their Diamond Audio subs. I got one, and the guy asked me if I wanted a 2 Ohm or a 4 Ohm. I told him that I would probably be bridging a two channel amp to run the thing, and he gave me a 2X 2 Ohm sub. By the looks of this, it has two pos/neg hookups on it, so you take one channel (both wires) and hook it to one side of the sub then do the same for the other channel (take both wires, pos and neg for that channel, and hook it up to the other connectors).
Now here's my problem... I don't know which amp to get! He said that that Kenwood KAC-541 had enough power to run the sub off the two rear channels bridged and my front speakers. Looking at the specs though, I don't think that this amp will cut it, and most 2 channel amps say that they're only stable at 4 Ohm loads! So what do I do here? It doesn't really matter to me if it's a four channel or not, powering the speakers right now isn't my concearn since I'll be needing new ones soon anyway, I just want to get my sub installed. What amp should I get? I would really like to stay on a $200-300 dollar budget if possible, but I need a 2 channel amp capable of a 2 ohm load!!! Also, this sub is a 10 inch, and it is capable of handling 400WRMS. Thanks for your help!

2x2 ohm sub. Do you mean dual 2ohm voice coils? Because if you do then it's either 1ohm load or 4. Most amps are capable of a 4ohm Mono load which is equivalent to a 2ohm stereo load, so you should be fine with just about any amp that has enough real power. I'm not getting into a brand name debate, but you know that you get what you pay for. I would suggest a class D 1ohm stable amp and pound that Diamond.
Thanks for the pics! They really help! Also, Yes, it is a dual 2 ohm voice coil!
So what I've gathered from the pictures is that out of the four prongs on the sub, I hook one negative from one channel and one positive from the other channel up opposite each other on the sub? Not diagonally across? Or do I hook up all four prongs? One from each channel? I'm sorry I'm such a newb when it comes to electronics! Thanks guys!

oh yes, I'm going for that $6000 mono block JBL!!! lol J/K!!! I was actually looking at some infinity stuff too, which actually is JBL right? With that sub do you think I could get a decent four channel amp and use two to power the front speakers and the rear two bridged to power the sub? Or should I just get a more powerful 2 channel and get an amp for the speakers when I get the $$$? Right now I'm mainly focused on taking bass load below 80HZ off of my speakers...
