ok hersw the deal.I want to get a multi farad cap.I'm looking at a 5 right now.Will I have to worry about killin gmy alt. by using this.I can get an ok deal so I figure I might as well go for it.does it take longer to charge than a half or a 1 farad.What about the firing rate?I'm just planing ahead for future system riquirements.

if your talking 5 then your going to use some serious power! You are going to need to get your alternator rebuilt to bigger standards, also id tack on another battery if you dont already have 2. Then get the caps. you can get brackets and all that pretty stuff at www.partsexpress.com you might just want to make your life a little bit easier by putting a battery in the back.

Thats what I was thinking... I really dont know of anything that would need 5... you would need all that I said above first b4 you would even think about 5

Jesus, 5 is way too much for anything you could possibly be running off your stock alternator.
