id say they are cheap just cause they have those large transformers....

 

where did windcalmer put his transformer in the DIY??? it doesnt say anything about it.....im lookin to do the under the seat cathodes and i kno absolutly nothin about this stuff lol im basing everything off that DIY so i must kno!!! lol

no idea. Seems like the tubes never get THAT hot. Warm, but not blazing hot.

 

thats cause your touching the tube.... ya touch the bulb and it is preaty warm!!!!!!
do yourown test
turn them on for about 5min or so.... and youll be able to just pull the bulb outta the tube...
now that parts realy hot

i got my cathodes in the mail today. and my god. they're tiny. haha. my LED's are twice as big around as the cathodes.

i do have one question tho. is there a place under the dash on a 96 ex to mount them? preferrably id like to not see the actual bulb. i was up in there lookin around and it doesnt look like theres anything to mount them to (on either the driver or passenger side.)

does anyone know where i might find a place to put them?
