Default cd deck

okay, i have an 05' 4dr civic and i want to take the old cd deck out and put a new one in, but i cant figure out how to get the old one out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

remove the belly pan (under steering wheel) and remove the glove box. Once you do that, the screws for the center console will be revealed. All you have to do is look for screws that connect dash peices.

thanks for the info, i dunno wut deck im gettin yet cause i just wanna get my subs and amp hooked up right now and worry bout a nicer deck later

just out of curiosity, i didnt get a chance to take out the deck, but i was wondering if the stock deck would be able to supposed and amp?

i plan on doing the same thing, are there any semi detailed instructions. the instructions from the dash kit are crap!

i meant would it be able to support an amp/subs. sorry, havent been on a computer for a while because of the Army :P

yes it will be able to support an amp and subs, you need to get a line level converter (if your amp has one built in, you don't need one), but in my opinion, you should get a better HU first with a pre out for sub, you'll have more control over your sub from the HU and it will have a better sound than with the factory HU.

search on the net u can find really good detailed ones with pics. I just put my deck in my car shiit i had to open up soo much crap
