your cd player sounds fudged. Try a cd player cleaner. It might solve the problem.

Is it doing it on a new cd u have never played in it before.. one experience i had that was similar was playing burned cd's in an old Alpine 3 cd in dash changer.. When i played burned cd's it would make beeping like noises and take forever to change tracks.. assuming due to the lower bitrate than most newer players

well it does it on all cds and now that it is warming up it will stop playing the cd and says error 11, then i feel the cd player and its really hot so my guess is that its over heating, how do i get it to stop doing that?

does it only happen when you have your music up somewhat loud?? also do you have aftermarket speakers...if you have both then you have whats called "clipping" its when you are over powering the amp and it heats up and causes it to momentarily go into a safe mode to cool down

im going to look in the mornin whether i have after market speakers or not, but it doesnt matter how loud the music is when it will cut off and it doesnt do it when i listen to the radio. i dont know much about insallation of sterios but since it has a after market thing the holds it in is there vents in the back? so is it possible that i might have to pull it out and open something up to allow more air flow?

the reason that it gets so hot is that your overpowering the amp on the headunit which causses it to clip and shutdown momentarily, getting more air to it might help it very little, the only way to cool it down to where it would stop doing this would be to get a better headunit or hook up an amp to one set of speakers to reduce the load on the headunits amp
