Hello, I'm new to these forums. I just got a 03 civic lx acouple of months ago, and was wondering what you guys think of this system.

I have:
Sony CDX-M8800 fm/am cd disc player.
Pioneer Speakers (front and back) TSA series, 6-1/2, TS-A1680R, 220 watts max.
Rockford Fosgate Punch, P3002
-75 RMS watts per channel @ 4 ohms.
-300 total rms watts @ 2 ohms
-900 max power
and finally, a Dual Sub (2-12's, enclosed in a box, blue neon lights, it was like $149 from best buy)

This is my first system, what do you guys think. The only thing is the trunk rattles and we are about to get dynamat for the truck lid and license plate. Other than that it seems good, what do you guys think could be improved, thanks.

id sell it all. Im not sayin this to be a dick but its kinda low quality stuff. Get a more powerful rockford amp and some good subs....pioneer speakers are crap. sony xplode......well its junk,

 

yeah deck is trash and so is the subs... speckers are weak along with ur punches...

What would you guys suggest I buy, that is not an outrageous price. That stuff alone was quite abit, the sub was like 249, the pioneers weren't that much, and the sony player was like 349, i got all this at best buy...(i also just have a permit, this is my 1st car, i get my license in acouple months, i've been talking to people at school and this is like one of the best systems at school..[&:])

 

rule one. dont talk to high school kids about systems because everyone is an "expert". ther are gonna be a few in there that know what they are talking about but u wont notice them unless you urself know what ur talking about. most kids(no matter what they think) no **** about car audio.

if you want quality but not like a high end system, go on line, buy stuff from alpine,Pheonix gold,directed audio,infinity,JL,MA audio..just look around..

 

Yeah you dd get ripped on the hu. I found it for like 200 on my first froogle search. but I will admit, I don't know about the quality it is putting out but that is one purdy hu.

 

actually, for a 15 or so old kid, its not all that bad. just slowly start replacing it with higher end stuff.

 

Don't forget that everyone can't afford "the best of the best".
It's his first car, he just got his permit, and probably only has a part-time job.
It's better than I could have ever dreamt of when I was that age.

 

he paid 250 for a sony explode sub........i got an infinty kappa perfect VQ for 200........and its 10x better........just shop around and dont go to best buy unless u kno someone who works ther and gets u a discount.

 

Lol DCA I love the high school lecture! If I had a dollar for every idiot making an a$$ of himself praising a stupid cd player that he really scored at wal mart and claiming he payed this and that when he really payed half... well, I would be drinking with Bill Gates.
