Default Door Speakers

Hey guys, I am curious...I cant find the specs for the door speakers in my girls car. The stock speakers are shot. I can get a good deal on some Infinity component speakers. What is the depth in the door? Would 5 1/2" components fit? Or Could I possibly fit 6 1/2" Components? Any Ideas?

Yeah man I need to do something quick! It sounds like ****! And while my car is getting repainted I gotta drive the little hatch. So you think I am gonna have to do that much cutting in the 94? OH! Am I gonna need an amp to run these damn things!? Hey addict, what type of speakers do you have there?

im using some REaudio RE 6.5 components. i had em from my truck so i just transfered them over

only way to know if youll have to do that much cutting is pull the speaker in thier now and look....
but be prepared to do some cutting just be carefull when cuting....
you can always recut it again but if ya cut it to big ya wont have anything to mount it to.....
the first door panel i cut i cut it about a dozen times or so test fiting it every time. and by the second door panel i knew how much i needed to cut out and thats why i have the whole thing cut out in mainly one piece like that.

ive also heard that the alpine type R 6.5 components are preaty nice as well. thats what i was considering buying but i desided to start puting my truck back close to stock to try and sell it.
im insuring 2 vehicles and my truck ive only driven once in the last 2 months and thats cause i had to haul a shower.LOL and ill use it preaty soon as well to pickup abunch of MDF for my trunk setup i plan on starting when i can.
