Default Door speakers

I have a 98 Civic EX and I looked at the speakers in the door panels, and they are the factory ones, and they are really dirty looking, and worn out. While at Wal Mart I found some for a good price, and Im wondering how easy it is to install them.

depending on how deep the magnet is on the speaker, you may actually have to take the door panel off and cut out the plastic housing that is behind the factory speaker. All you have to do is this:

there is a screw behind the door latch handle. pop off the window switches they are held on by snaps, and i think there is a screw under it. pop off the triangle by the mirror. may have to disconnect the tweeter if you have one. snap off the speaker cover. there are 3 screws surrounding the speaker, as well as four holding the speakers in place. pull the panel away from the door starting from the bottom. and work upward until all the snaps are unsnapped. then pull up on the panel. then proceed to cut of the speaker housing from the panel. preferably with an air saw, but a hack saw will do. put the door back on in reverse and continue to proceed as about for the wiring.
