Default dumb KENWOOD problems I JUS WANNA HEAR TUNES!

so my factory radio pooped out on me and i had been wanting a new one anyways. my buddy gives me his old pioneer, i bought a harness, hooked it up and it worked for a day until it blew a fuse and froze up. i bought a new fuse, the old was a 7.5. i bought a kenwood 325 or something, installed it and nothing. i took it back after wiring and rewiring the harness and checking the exterior of the kenwood because i heard something about screws having to be in certain spots or something?? i dunno anyways, best buy was out of the 325s and wouldnt upgrade me for free, those bastards! so i got a kenwood kit that had 2 6.5 inch door speakers and a 135 i think?? installed it and yet again nothing. i had a question about the fuses, the fuse on the back of the kenwood is a 10 so should i put a 10 in the fuse box so it doesnt keep blowing for keep a 7.5? also is there some special wiring harness or part or something i need for a 2000 honda civic ex to install a radio?? i love kenwoods and i dont wanna get a pioneer but i wouldnt even understand how that would make a difference. i had a kenwood on my 98 acura, WTF IS GOING ON!?!? i know its wired right. am i doomed?!!?

Never replace a fuse with another that's rated for higher power. The circuit is meant to blow at 7.5 so the deck won't burn out. If it keeps blowing fuses, it means there's probably a short somewhere in the harness. Too much power is coming in from somewhere. Try wiring your positive and ground wires to another power source and ground point.

Have you checked the fuses in the engine bay and under the dash? Bet one of those is blown too.

NEVER put a higher rated fuse in.

Just tweeters? You planning on running an active setup? Do you have midbass drivers?

If you have coaxial speakers up front, you don't need to buy tweeters.

uhh whats a midbass driver?? and yes i do have coaxial speakers up front but i was planning on replacing the tweeters in the bottom of the a pillar. my drivers sides busted and i found a walmart set for 30 bucks. (y not!?) i wanna run 2 kenwood 12s in a sealed box in the trunk with a kenwood 4 channel amp, monster cable, havin the amp rebuilt with bigger better capasitors and batterys, mebbe a couple cooling fans idk. i wanna hook up maybe a preamp as well. i wanna run the door speakers, the 6x9s and the 12s bridged through the amp. im prolly gunna get a nicer kenwood by then so ill have another set of rca inputs in the back but i was thinking if i run the 4channel amp right i shouldnt need more than 1 set right?? or am i not completely understanding the 4 channel consept??
p.s. i blew another set of fuses for the climate controle and all the buttons surounding the radio except the emergency lights. do i have a short somewhere? and which fuse(s) would these be?? thanks bunches!

A midbass driver is a speaker dedicated to mid-range frequencies (like the 6.5" in a component set of speakers)

An you don't want coaxials AND tweeters...unless you like lacking midbass and overbearing high frequencies.

I would never go with Kenwood subs, even for the money they aren't that great. Their amps are ok. If you HAVE to have kenwood stuff, eh it's your money.

Don't buy an amp just to replace stuff inside, unless you truly know what you are doing (I highly doubt you do....heck i wouldn't even go there).

Now are you wanting to amp all for speakers up front? or just the rear?

if you're planning on running the subs off channels 3 & 4 (bridging them) you'll need to make sure to present a 4 ohm load to the amp (I don't think any kenwood can handle 2 ohms bridged)

edit: If you're installing all this yourself, you're gonna need to have a little bit better understanding of all this lol. But that's why we're here, to help you out

arite yea after reaccessing the damage, lol, heres my plan so far.
keep the kenwood for now as the headunit, keen the door speakers (not sure if theyre coaxial for sure idk lol) get new tweeters, get some 6x9s that have some seriously tight bass and good loud midrange, and hook up a set of clarion 12s or mebbe even 2 10s, and yea either a 4 or 5 channel amp.
yea i want to amp the door speakers and the 6x9s and the subs, id like to run them on a single amp for now because i only have a single set of rca inputs. when its time ill upgrade the kenwood to either a nicer model or a pretty alpine or somethin shnazzy lol im trying to focus on replaceing the 6x9s because the headunits making them go fuzzy wen the volumes up or certain bass frequencies. and replacing the alternator, starter big 3 ground points, and mebbe a fresh battery. also needing tires and brakes relatively soon is making this woofer, box and amp ordeal seem farther away for the time being lol.
