okay, I'm prob. beating the dead horse but, I need a clean cut ansewer. I have a 97 civic dx without a tach in the gauge cluster. i broke the fuel gauge needle and the temp gauge never worked. I want to replace the cluster with one that has a tach built in. will my cuurent wire harness work without mods(adding wires,same connctions)or will any cluster from a 6th generation civic work, even the si?

 

im 85% percent sure any 6th generation cluster should work fine. it should just be taking the old one out and puttin the new one in .. i know in my 5th generation civic thts all i had to do when i replace my dx cluster with an ex one.

 

yea from 96-00 should bolt right up even the si one, i bought an 99 ex cluster for my 98 dx and just plug and play good luck
