Equalizer
thinking about getting an equalizer for the o3 and i have a few questions.....
so currently i have an a$$ load of rattle because the headunit i have doesnt have a trebble adjustment so would the eq. stop rattle?
what do i connect the eq. up to?
can someone reccomend one with a link?

The head unit RCA pre-amps are what attach to the equalizer
a treble adjustment wouldn't solve your problem, you'd need something on it that adjusts your bass
in all honesty though, a good head unit will do just as much as an equalizer could, in fact many amps have filters built into them as well
It's probably best to just upgrade your head unit
The only thing that equalizers may really do extra is up the pre-amp RCA voltage, and maybe have a little more control over frequencies than your head unit, but probably not by much, it also depends on the equalizer

I'm not sure if the EQ would stop the rattle, it really just depends on where the rattle is coming from. If the speaker is blown or there's something loose where the speaker is installed I doubt it'll help much. If it's just rattling cause the speaker sucks then yeah it could help your situation.I'd just reccomend buying new speakers over an EQ in that case tho.
If the rattle is cause simply because your headunits treble is too high then it'll probably help a bit tho. Although getting a new headunit would hlp just as much.
Installing a EQ consists of a lot of routing. You'll be routing 12v power from your headunit to you EQ. You can also route your turn on wire from your headunit to your EQ. To get sound you'll have to route RCA cables to the EQ.
