hi guys, i was cruising around blasting the tunes and ended up popping one of the front speaker!!! i feel stupid now! lol

its a 1995 Civic 3dr Hatch, and i was just wondering what is the size of the front speaker?????

dont be ashamed... just swap em out for some decent speakers! just pull em out. cannt realy tell but i would guess 4 or5s just pull em out and measure them...
ya might be able to go larger if ya remove the black trim around it... stock speakers suck those are the first ones i remove!

i pulled the popped one out and it looks joke!!! its got like 5 holes in it! LOL!

I measured it and it looked like 4".

now i gta decide what speakers to get???

if your going for nothing special just get some decent name brand ones... if ya got a aftermarket headunit then id go up afew models to like some 2 or 3 way speakers....


but ya might wanna see how big that black plate is if ya removed it.... cause 4inch speakers SUCK for bass.... so unless ya have a sub id try to fit in a biger speaker.... BUT just worry about dept.....


of course your best thing to do is shop around at places that have the display models... and listen to what you like..

 

i wouldnt worry too much about the old speakers cause they are just that, old and worn out.

as far as new ones go i would get a straight up 4in speaker and only get a 2 way if that is all you can get. Radio Shack has or had a 4" speaker that if actually really ****in good. Its just a generic speaker but it has a great response and will put out great mid and hi frequency sound. If i remember correctly is works great at 300Hz on up.
