So, I dumped my EF, due to rust, and decided to go with an EG, since the headlights on the newer ones look stup.. sorry, look like they do.

I installed a 99 civ indash CD into my EF with no probs, pulled out the cassette, pushed in the CD, went to work on the amp, etc. (If you wonder, because it sounds good enough, and who would want to steal a factory in-dash).

SOoo, the EF is gone, but I ripped the stereo from it. Went to install this w/e and whoops, the EG has a completely diff wiring connector.

W T F ?

anyone have an idea of whether an "adaptor" is available to convert my EG to a Honda connector?

Think I'm gonna sell the phukr and buy a b16 EF, dammit...

I dont understand cause ef and eg have the same plugs.

 

From what I've seen, the standard big tuner window/cassette is what is coming out of the EG, no mods ever done.

I thought ALL hondas had the same connector. This one is white and too short width/connector count-wise to fit into the EK's oem tuner/CD. I cannot remember what the connector looked like on the EF, I didn't think I needed to pay attention, heheh. I just brought the CD along, was gonna do the head and speakers while visiting a friend, EZ job thinks me.

looked 'round, and the "honda connector" seems to be the one on the EG. Sooo, is the oem CD/Head wit HONDA on the front an 'upgrade' head? Is there a difference that way? The EF I had was an LX with upgraded stereo, so mebbe that is the issue? damn, me so confoosed.
