Default got my LEGAL mic SPL number today. 136.6db

not bad at all id say....
single 12inch sub, 1600watts rms (well at 14volts and no way my stock 70amp alt can power it and single battery.LOL)

now suprising thing is my CHEAP SPLmeter.com 150db unit was suprisingly was VERY CLOSE to the LEGAL "new TERMLAB mic"
termlab said max 136.6db and my splmeter said 136.0db

that along REALY SUPRISED ME!!!!!!
a LEGAL termlab costs $649
and my splmeter.com unit was only like 90bucks on ebay... which is about half off thier price new from thier site.. tho for some reason thier site isnt working right now. not sure if they are outta buisness or if the site is just down...

i want louder... like any true basshead...
but i have to upgrade to a higher power alternator and buy 2-3 new optima yellow top batteries... my yellow top is about 3years old..... still decent but not as good as she was new.

i wish they had the results posted online BUT not yet for some odd reason.... i guess the rain might have pushed the show back... i always qualify... but never made it past the first bracket.LOL
when i had my truck i hit 140db with 2 15s and 2500watts, last year with my civic same sub different box and only 1200watts was 128db but that was in bassrace.

MAYBE next year ill break the 140db again.... upgrading subwoofer and the electrical system...
may go with a 15inch sub not sure yet...

first post in like 2 months....lol...anyways addice im trying to decide if im going to switch my 2 12's around in he box like yours is now....the only problem most ppl have is that you usually hear that kinda thump from like the sound of the cone somtimes hitting the basket so hard....do you ever have that or do you still hear the smoothness as if it was still turned around???

for a single 12 im kinda happy with it.
next year ill run a higher class and have the motor running to realy push the juice outta the amp!

and well i will say the SQ isnt as great and ya do loose alittle low notes...
so if you do you at least want some decent SQ/spl subs
BUT to me well worth it to get rid of MOST of that horible trunk rattle!

thanks tho i am realy considering a complete rebuild.........
well same style box thru rear seat and depending if i deside to upgrade to a 15inch sub or keep with a 12..... only downfall is if i go with a 15 i wont be able to run a fullsize spare tire... and also no room for groceries anymore.LOL
BUT with a 15 i know i can go over 140db but might have to angle the sub ever so slightly to fit.....

and well i think i just talked myself into a 15inch sub.LOL tho knowing myself ill probably change my mind afew times...lol

i have to plan out EVERYTHING to be sure which size i wanna run...

ya i had 2 15s in my truck.... pulled the whole rear bench seat out and replaced

NOW THAT WAS A GREAT BACK MASSAGE!!!!!!! also made it VERY HARD to swallow! i miss that setup! BUT with my truck i had a huge 250amp amp alternator and could rock that daily. \

civics largest highpower alt is like 160amps i believe. well i could upgrade to a dual alt setup but would have to lose my AC and that aint happening.LOL
