hard wiring a radar detector in an 02 civic

Default hard wiring a radar detector in an 02 civic

I need some assisstance in this. My Fiance is away and I want to do this for her before she comes back. Any Suggestion?

Yep, get a thing called add a circuit. This will plug into a fuse socket and will have two fuses, one for the fuse you removed to put it in there, and one fuse with an open lead so you can hook anything up to it.

Pull your radio/power outlet fuse and pop in your add a circuit, this will turn the dector off when you turn the ignition off so you don't have to worry abou it. Take the power outlet thing from the radar dector and cut off the power outlet end. (leave some wire on it incase you need to put it back together later.) Then, wire the positive wire to the wire on the add a circuit module and connect the negative end to chassis ground. Then just run the wire up through the dash to where ever you want it to go.
