Default Help with amp/speaker set up.

alright.....well...my ebay speakers are dieing...im down to 1 out of 4 6x9s and my $20 dollar subs sound like crap....

AMPS still running strong!

so i have 2 Visonik V408XT

Specs!~

1000-Watt 2 Channel High Performance Amplifier
VISONIK 2-CHANNEL 1000W AMPLIFIER E*

[ul][*]2 x 250W RMS @ 4 ohms stereo[*]2 x 500W RMS @ 2 ohms stereo[*]1 x 1000W Max @ 4 ohms (bridged)[/ul]
i run my 2 12's off one and my 4 6x9s off the other

•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~†¢~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
the subs i want to get are these: Visonik V12D4
600 Watts max output
300 Watts RMS Rated

Question 1...will those work out with my amp? what would be the best way to wire them?

•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~†¢~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
Question 2:

I need to run 4 6x9s off the amp listed above...Its a 2 ch amp

what rating should the speakers have? 240 rms? and what is the best way to wire them....

what are some affordable 6x9s with this rating that sound clean?

I know this is a lot of questions but i get paid tommorow and im looking to buy speakers soon...

Any help would be apprecieated...

-thanks

So your looking for 4 speakers and a sub/subs for $400? To be honest I dont know what to tell ya, I'd suggest you spend that $400 on a nice set of componets for the front and some 2-ways for the rear. Sound imaging does not require rears to have componets and with that budget and a amp that will feed that much power to a set of speakers you dont have many options

the subs will work. you can wire them down to 2ohms each and run it on seperate channels or brideg them to 4ohms on 1 channel. Your 6x9s you can get 150-300W RMS 4ohm speakers. For your speakers I would recomend geting them at like adealer who has warranty. like best buy or circuit city. if you blow them they will replace them

if i was to wire up 6 speakers off one of the amps:

4 6x9's
2 6.5's + tweeters for the doors

Not worried about price right now just trying to figure out what i need.

What would ratings would my speakers need to be and how would i wire that up.

well....i got the subs i want ordered and should have them by next thursday....

now on to the rest of my system:

i found some tight visonik 6.5's that I really wanna get...they are rated at :

150RMS and are at 4 ohms.

aight,so my amp gives out 500 RMS at 2 ohms (x2) . So idealy I want a double set up of some 6x9s at 175-200W rms @ 2 ohms each (wired in series so 4 ohms total) with a 6.5 at 4ohms (wired in paralell with the other speakers) and that would give me 1/4 + 1/4 = 2/4 =2ohms in resitance and about between 500-550RMS.

Does that sound right?

well...doesnt matter cause I dont think they make 2ohm 6x9s at 200w rms.

I really dont wanna buy another amp since i have alot of power already...so my question is:

wtf should i do....lol

i want a total of 6 speakers running off a 1000 w amp
amp stats are:
* 2 x 250W RMS @ 4 ohms stereo
* 2 x 500W RMS @ 2 ohms stereo
* 1 x 800W RMS @ 4 ohms (bridged)

4* 6x9s (Im open to anything)
2* 6.5s (visonik 150RMS 300MAX @ 4ohms)

this has been bugging me all night...and im going crazy over it.....

I just had an idea....

What about a double set up of

In Parallel
6.5 150rms at 4 ohms
6x9 40rms at 4 ohms
190RMS at 2 ohms
In Series with above set up
6x9 60rms at 2ohms

190RMS+60RMS=250 RMS
2 ohms + 2 ohms = 4 ohms

amp ask for 2 x 250W RMS @ 4 ohms stereo

Does that work?

ive been staring at your wireing diargram, im not sure how it is going to sound having two 6x9s a sub and a tweeter all ran off of one channel. that is your lows mids and highs all on one channel. visonik is a bargin basement brand, you can buy their subs at pepboys (my buddy got some fora gift) around christmas. they go by Magnum too (only diff is anything that is red on a Visonik is blue on a Magnum) if that works out and sounds good let me know but i am very skeptical about it, but good luck

if it all does work out for you, the speakers would all be starved for power and you are more likely to blow something from too little power because when you crank it up you just feed it distortion, each of those channels will be putting out 250w but your components are creating a 500w draw (those are all theoretic numbers too because lower end equipment tends to overrate the hell of their power ratings)

btw you put impedence but a few times you put independence but it is an impressive diagram otherwise lol
