Im looking to get a gps system that mounts on the winshield. what do you guy's recommend and an why do you like it?

 

im going with Garmin Nuvi 205 Car GPS Receiver

 

i have the garmin nuvi 260w. widescreen and says the street names also. can't go wrong with garmin products. how are you liking your 205? and how much you got that for?

I got the 205w. i got it new off ebay for $135 i also had an 8% coupon so it was like $124 . Im still waiting for it in the mail. I cant realy use it till 3/27 becuase thats my b-day just in time for jersey meet. I got it mainly so i can go to these civic meets. Iv been waching youtube videos about it i cant wait to use it, i love that it has a speedometer!

 

hah yeah mine has a spedo to it takes a little bit of going a consistant speed for it to read perfect

 

So i got my gps today in the mial. I ask the seller for a tracking number, and he said they ran out of the 205w, and they are sending a free upgrade to the 260w!!! But i got the last 205w....dam, i could have got the 260w...How do i know if the 09 maps are on it? When i go to map info it says NT 2009, does this mean it as 09 maps?

 

yea it should be 2009 software

 

when i hook the gps up to my cell charger it says loading maps, and stays on the garmin loading screen. it dosint do this with car charger. My internet is wireless, could it be updating from my wireless router?
