Help me please!
Hi all I am new and I was in the newbie section looking for help but it occured to me that all the people there are well.... new. I need an expert of sorts, ok heres the problem I know you have heard all this before but, please bear with me! I just purchased a 2001 Honda Civic EX, 4 door sedan, it has original Stereo.... No manual..... No sticker in Glove compartment....... I did however get the number off radio by using 1 and 6 together...... the numbers I recieved are u2408 L9312 if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated as I live very Very far from a dealership and they want to charge me, I also tried an online help site they also want to charge me...... Thank you all in advance! See you soon
Sorry all my question is that my radio was Locked when the battery was disconnected, I purchased through a Tow yard........ Now it says code...... I have tried entering different codes for the same year and such wil no progress the above number is the serial number off radio using the 1 and 6 buttons....... If anyone can help me in retrieving the code I would be thankful forever!

RE: Help me please!
It is still beyond me why some people want to retain their horribly chitty factory cd player. I know people want the stock look but there is an answer. Nakamichi CD300

RE: Help me please!
So what is the best way to take care of this problem ?
The car battery died and then when i got a jump the radio would not work then... it says CODE..
is it worth it taking it to the dealer and have them take me for my money
or
should i just get a new aftermarket radio ?
Please respond

RE: Help me please!
IT would be really lame to pay for a code and then find out that the CD player is dead anyway. Even if it does work, it's lame in the first place compared to what any $150 aftermarket unit could do. No MP3's, no HD radio, no satellite radio, etc. So I'd say just replace it.
