i had my subs takin out of my car for awhile and i wired them to my computer using te actual computer speakers it has very bad sounding bass and it was also really low not alot of bass at all i seriously don't recommend doing that at all! and the amp didn't hook up anywhere cuz it need a power source like a frikin car battery to support it and you then have to ground it and there almost no possible way to do that in a house so it was very dumb on my part to do that and you shouldn't either!

you would need this to run a high power amp in the house, but wont be able to run it more than 40 amps, thats what i use on my home wortable. or you could use a computer power supply (12volts), but the computer power supply won't handle much power, or a battery and charger.
