Your local junk yard doesn't have anything Honda at all? It doesn't have to be from a Civic, they're all the same.

To buy one new you have to buy the whole dash harness, which is somewhat expensive. Also you'd have to take the dash out to install it.

Just to clarify...All HONDA harnesses are the same, right?

not correct, there is a change over on the harnesses, twice. in the civics i believe it was '99 was the first year for the blue plug and then again in like 06-07 to the new grey plug. as far as finding a plug, look online for a metra reverse harness. 71-1720 for the older plug (white), 71-1721 for the middle plug (blue), and then like 71-1722 i think for the newest.

ive found these 2 http://www.mobilevideoauthority.com/...36/4761723.htm and http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...a+71-1721.html which is correct? One says into car harness and the other says into radio plug harness im a little confused on that

the second one is what the car would have had in it stock and goes into the stock radio. 71-1721 is the model of the factory car side plug.

correct me if i'm wrong, but you said that your car has no factory stereo plug right?? is it just wires in the dash? the reason it says that the 71-1721 will not fit is because you have to wire it in. unless i just completly misread this whole post, haha
