Default horn question

Hey guys I am having problems with my horn. It went out and when I press it i hear a clicking noise around the fuse boxes under the driver side. I changed all the fuses and still doesn't work. I even changed the ones under the hood and no luck. Does anyone else know what it can be ? Thanks

Well the clicking is probably the horn relay, it normally does that to trigger the horn you just don't here it over the horn. Your problem is probably with the horn itself. Have you tried changing it or measureing the voltage at the horn when the button is pressed?

Pop off the bumper (for easiest access) and have a friend push the horn button and hold a voltmeter across the terminals off the horn. Whenever the buttom is pressed it should read arround 12v. Note: The horn may only have one wire terminal (+) because the - side is usually the mount its connected too since the frame is negative.

Being that this is an audio forum, I assumed clicking on a topic titled "horn question" that it would be something moreso along these lines:

No that would be the horn effect. And this forum is commonly used for electric stuff too. to change out the horn just remove the old one, put a new one in and connect the wires.

I have a 99 and it doesn't really have a diaphram that can get dirt in it. The diaphram is the whole front of the horn.

The horn makes noise like a speaker (of sorts) Check it anyways.
