whats a good amount of ampz and wattage as far as a sub woof goes. i gotta 2003 civic sdn lx. I want some boom but wanna leave the stock deck so it dont get broken into. anyone got any ideas to keep the stock look of my car wit some kick *** sound?

i just got a 10" volfenhag sub (700watt max) andan MDsound amp (800watt max). what should i do next?

what are you asking? i think thats why noone will answer.

 

check out jl audio the clean sweep oem interface. but you are using some cheap equipmemt so spending $500 on the clean sweep prob isn't worth it

 

sell those for as much as u can and then tell us how much u got and we'll help u out on getting a new setup

 

OMG,. Volfenhag...lol. We bought those for next to nothing out of catalog's and sold them out of the pawn shop I worked at. They were like the joke of the town for quite a while. Get as far away from that thing as you can and get new stuff...quick

 

yo i gotz a 03 civic and i know u didnt want to change ur deck but quick question, i already put up a poll on this but would u happen to know how tio change the deck if i wanted to.. oh and BTW u wont get the best of sound unless u change the deck... sorry bro!

 

Mate, I was reading the Hot4s mag and they are having a special on how to have a discrete sound system. They basicly said, leave your OEM wired into the dash, and throw an aftermarket HU in your glove box or where it can be hidden but accessed, and put an amp under your seat, and keep stock speakers grills on your aftermarket speakers. And cummon Irish, go easy on the kids self esteem. He is clearly proud of his new kit, let him thrash it until it breaks, however quickly that is, and when the time is right, we can steer him in the right direction.

And 03civic, changing a deck is easy. Take the old one out, BUY A HARNESS (VERY IMPORTANT) and plug the new one in. And the best adviceI was given is just get in there, get your hands dirty and if it gets too much for you or you royally **** it up, just take it untoa shop and they will sort it out.

 

Lol, yes get your hands dirty. An install isn't complete until you cut your self on something :-p. As far as keeping it looking all stock that's a good idea. I don't see why not dark tint + an alarm though. Just don't go bumping when you pull up to the mall or movies or in a neighborhood, ect.

 

ehh well the sub is what i wanted cuz my car sucks with out a extra bump. i installed it with a switch to one of the templete next to my cig lighter. i didnt want surround sound just a lil extra thump. wen its time to get new interiorsill getta new amp and HU if i want but imma look into that chaos you know where i cant find that article. anyone know if its gonna break tho? came witha 3 year warrenty
