You might have just tapped them crapy. check again and see if the wires are in tact. if you have the positive and negative wires touching, im almost positive you wont get any sound

Most HU's will shut down all 4 speakers if there's a short anywhere in the speaker wiring. When the short is resolved it should play again.

+1, just check your wiring again. And if its all good and you still got no sound, pull out your HU, open her up and look for ??busted resistors, burn marks, busted caps?? (This is only from working with busted amps, I dont know what to look for in a blown HU output, anyone?)

well some speaker terminals have a hole in the spade terminal... if your realy cheap... just strip the wires back about a inch or two.... lay back half the wires put them thru the hole and then twist all the wires back together aroud the spade terminal and then tape them up.......

and ya if the speaker wires touch eachother they kick out the whole speaker system.... no big deal BUT FIX IT ASAP!!!!!!!! keep the radio turned off...... cause im nto sure BUT if they short out for to long they COULD mess up the radio.....

if you want to find out which speaker it is... turn the radio ON and FADE the signal around... front to left... then front right... then rear right and then rear left...... now if the wires shorting out on just ONE speaker then THAT speaker wont have audio when ya fade it around... but the rest will still work when fully faded around.....

easiest way to test for a shorted out speaker wire is to pull the radio and put the positive lead of a multimeter on constant power and just poke at the speaker wires with the neg and if it read power then u know u got a ground out. you can also do it with a test light or a logics probe

but if one of the speaker wires grounds out then the internal amplifier shuts off so u can balance and fade all you want but u wont get sound out of any of the speakers because the amp shuts itself off to protect itself and the speakers
