just wondering
now i have 2 10" subs in a box just lying around. there not in my car. so i get 0 bass. but i dont want to have those heavy thing weighing me down when im at the track and there a pain in the *** to take in and out. but if i have to i will.
but what i was thinking of doing is to just get a 1 sub enclosure with a 500watt amp. you think that will give me enough bass and sound quality when im cruzin around. im not looking to blow the trunk off anymore. just want bass. but good bass.
but the main thing is, i just want something that i can tuck to the side, take out easy and such. im thinking a 10".

circuit city sells overpriced crap, plain and simple. Yea they carry some good brands, but they charge high quality prices for low level products. Their only redeeming grace in the car audio world is they picked up Kicker, but $350 for a 10L7? no way...........Though I will say my one experience with the roadshop was pretty good, save for they fried my horn doing an alarm install, but other than that it was very clean and fast.
Resonant Engineering SE 10"
or
Dayton Titanic MARKIII 10"
Either one of those subs will take 400-500 watts RMS, be loud and sound good doing it. Cost ya fabout $120-$150 for either.
Or if you like to stick to mainstream subs, the alpine type r is quite a little badass.
Either way a single 10" might be lacking in output depending on what you are used to. Let me know if you have anymore questions!

The basslink isn't ridiculously loud. But I spent many years damaging my hearing, and I'm over it now. It's nice because it's compact, easily removable, and easy to hook up to your stock system. And you can get them for under the list price... check ebay. I think I paid $150 for mine.
