For a beginner, Kicker is great, for a pro it might just be "good".

I used kicker for a while, and they have come a long way since their start in the DB game. The squares don't tickle my fancy, but they do pack a punch if amped right. You should enjoy a decent kicker setup for many years of trouble free operation.

If you need some help wiring it, let us know the wattage on the amp and sub, the resistance (ohms), and if its a single or dual voice coil. We will do what we can.

I'm running a 12" kicker l7 square and a 1500 watt amp in a ported bock, and it sounds amazing i ran it in the back of a 2000 civic ex coupe and took 3rd in a s.l.a.p. stero contest with a 139.8 db

Yes, very solid products, whether it's your first system or your 1,746th. I rock a Solobaric (the square one you are talking about) in my truck and I have had it all.

make sure you look at RMS and not peak power. cuz peak doesnt mean chit. thats just how much power it can handle before it blows up basically. but realistically.. it cant run that much wattage. RMS is the output that it can handle steadily. thats the most important power rating to look at. its the one that matters.

i got real excited when i got my system. because my amp is 1100w and i have 2 1200w 12" subs. i was like damn thats a lot of power. except i think my rms is closer to 2 or 300w. haha. o well. they hit hard and i got the whole thing for 300 bux. so im happy with em.
