^mempis is a great brand of speakers with better than average midbass but you have to buy them from a dealer. no online sales allowed at all. but I could buy them and send them too somebody who wanted some if they didn't have a local shop

And for an 06 civic the speaker sizes are 6.5. A lot of people have trouble fitting big magnet speakers in the rear deck(alpine type r). But if you go to cruthchfield and enter your car info, they will list speakers that fit. I have an 07 and that is my dilema. I already have brand new speakers from previous car, and was going to install them in my new car, but that's where I ran into problems. You can google 06 civic rear speaker installation and find out what I'm talking about.

I know what you mean. My girl has a 04 accord and the bass sounds really good. And its because the stock speakers are powered by a small factory amp. If you get after market speakers and run them with a amp, you will get the same sound but probably better. Or you can get what some one else this forum has, its a alpine power pack. Its like a amp minus all the wiring to battery and speakers. That's what I plan on doing. Good luck on your search.

I just put an Alpine Power Pack in my Civic and it makes a huge difference. However, I have two 12" Rockford Fosgate subs in the trunk so the Power Pack isn't my main source of bass.

rf speakers are great but those wont come with a warranty because sonic electronics isnt a true dealer.
