My System!!!
Ok I Have An Amp Hooked up to 2x 12" subs.... i was on a trip for 4 hrs and half way there my subs just cut out.... So i checked it out and the amp usually has a green light on it for power but now a red light comes on that i think says protection.... i checked the ground and wires thinking it could be a loose wire.. wuts my problem??? thanx
well i was thinking it did overheat but why is it still saying its protecting obviously its been cooled down... and i dunno wut the gains are tuned to i just had my friend set it up... i know the bass is on max? so ok what do i do now??
well you need to turn the bass button down thats for sure.....you need to look at all the settings on the amp are and tell the specs on the amp so that we can at least give you a safe place to put the settings at.
Yeah, your buddy might have wired it to a point that is Incorrect for your amp.
We need to know your amp/s power raitings, RMS power, and the speakers power and ohm/voice coil setup. If you don't know all of that information, get us the brand and modle # of the amp, and maybe the brand and line of speakers you are pushing, we can look up the rest.
