Can anyone help me figure out what's going on with my sub/amp system?!? I got the red wire connected to the battery and amp. I got the blue wire connected to the solid blue in my deck. I got the ground wire set up and I got the damn RCA wires connected to my deck too and nothing is working. The amp is not even coming on (no power light) and I know it works cuz i took it back and they checked it. I am using the same wiring set up as i did with the old deck in my car and it works but ever since i got the pioneer deck nothing seems to work. Am I hooking up the blue wire to the solid blue wire in my deck correct? Can someone help me I am completely stumped.

 

Does your deck have a blue/white wire?

If os hook the blue to that one.

 

I think Lev's remedy is correct. Before you go ripping out your headunit, turn the radio on and fire it up, if the remote wire IS hooked up to the antenna, the subs should come on... but only when the radio is on hehe.

 

try the yellow wire for power

 

dickie, yellow is always hot. Try the red instead.

 

 

yellow---> battery
red----> ignition
blue----> remote on the amps

make sure your head unit chassis is grounded. the antenna usually will do but another ground is always a good idea. double check your ground for the amp too because a bad ground will drive you batty.
